Manufactured under the rigorous VDE (Verband der Elektrotechnik) standards, these cables are designed to withstand mining environments, offering high tensile strength, flexibility, and resistance to extreme temperatures, chemicals, and mechanical stress. By repurposing this high-quality cable for fencing, Cattle Yard Cable provides a product that delivers unmatched longevity, strength and reliability - perfect for the challenging conditions of rural Australia.

  • The natural pigtailed curl in every strand is designed to maintain consistent tension, minimising sag and stretch over time and reducing the need for ongoing adjustment.

  • We repurpose used mine lifting rope. Originally designed to lift hundreds of tonnes, this material has already proven its strength. By repurposing it, we’re creating a tough, sustainable solution. We transport our cable in recycled IBC containers - minimising waste, reducing freight costs, and keeping sustainability at the core of everything we do.

HOW OUR CABLE IS MADE AND PREPARED FOR DELIVERY

Every length of Cattle Yard Cable begins life as high-grade German mine rope, retired from underground service. We inspect each reel for integrity, then strip, clean, and separate the strands - creating a natural curl that helps fences stay tight over time.

The cable is cut into standard 100m coils or straight lengths, then tagged with size, batch, and load rating. Each coil is tightly banded to prevent unwinding and stacked in recycled IBC shuttles, with each shuttle holding up to 5km of cable.

When your order’s ready, shuttles are forklift-loaded directly onto the truck, delivering a neat, secure package that’s ready to roll out with minimal handling.
